Pioneers in Agrivoltaic Development

Energy That Heals the Land

We transform arid land into fertile pastures through the intelligent integration of photovoltaic technology and regenerative agriculture.

The Great Global Challenge

Stopping desertification, generating clean energy

Climate change and unsustainable land use are accelerating the degradation of arable land, turning entire regions into barren deserts. At the same time, the demand for clean energy has never been more urgent.

At Biosolar Agrivoltaica we lead in agrivoltaic development: we solve both problems by combining solar energy and sustainable agriculture on the same land. Instead of competing for land, we integrate photovoltaic modules with vegetation cover and grazing activities that reduce erosion, improve the local climate, and bring the land back to life.

Soil restoration under the shade of solar panels

Living soil in the shade

Partial shade lowers soil temperature and stimulates root development and beneficial microorganisms.

Triple Benefit

Our Pillars of Impact

A circular business model designed to regenerate the natural environment while maximizing resource production.

Optimized Solar Energy

The natural transpiration of the vegetation growing beneath the panels creates a cooling effect in the air. This prevents the silicon cells from overheating, boosting electricity generation by up to 10% compared to traditional solar farms on dry soil.

Soil and Ecosystem Restoration

We transform dry or degraded land into green pastures. The shade from the structures acts as a thermal shield against extreme radiation, encouraging the growth of vegetation cover and grasses that stop wind erosion and replenish organic carbon in the soil.

Water Efficiency

By reducing wind and direct sunlight, evapotranspiration from the land drops by 30% to 40%. In addition, the tilted structure of the panels helps channel dew and light rainwater directly to the root zone of the pastures below.

Smart irrigation technology and agrivoltaic solar panels

Monitoring and Automation

Integrated IoT sensors measure humidity, temperature, and soil health in real time to optimize the solar-agricultural symbiosis.

Technological Symbiosis

How does Biosolar Agrivoltaics work?

Our technology redefines photovoltaic infrastructure so it coexists harmoniously with plant and animal life.

  • 01

    Adaptive Elevated Structures

The panels are mounted at a higher elevation (between 2.5 and 4 meters) with optimized spacing. This allows enough indirect sunlight to reach the plants and leaves room for light machinery or maintenance sheep grazing.

  • 02

    Dynamic Solar Tracking

Smart algorithms orient the panels not only to maximize energy output, but also to dose the hours of shade crops need during peaks of extreme daytime heat.

  • 03

    Smart Micro-irrigation

We use the surface of the solar panels themselves for controlled runoff of rainwater and dew, directing it toward infiltration trenches and precision drip systems that nourish the pastures.

Proven Results

Cases That Inspire Our Model

Agrivoltaics is already transforming territories around the world. These are some of the projects that validate the model we apply at Biosolar Agrivoltaica.

Talatan Solar Park: from desert to oasis

The world's largest solar farm, built on a Tibetan plateau desert that was 98% degraded. Vegetation cover beneath the panels now reaches 80%, and thousands of sheep graze there, generating over 10,000 yuan (~USD 1,400) per 0.07 hectares and benefiting 173 nearby villages.

Sun'Agri: solar tracking that improves the wine

Pioneers in dynamic solar tracking over vineyards and fruit orchards, the same technology we apply in our projects. 36 estates already operate under this model (60 more in development), producing better-quality wine thanks to reduced heat stress on the vines.

Our next pilot project in Argentina

Argentina has ideal conditions for agrivoltaics: high solar irradiance, increasingly mature regulation, and productive regions like Mendoza and San Juan (vineyards), La Rioja (olive groves), and Catamarca/Salta (soybeans and corn) looking to diversify income. We are developing our first pilot project in the country, applying the same model that already works around the world.
